Kaiyodo – Deep Sea Aquarium Figure collection

As an European, I had the chance in this life to visit 3 times already the beautiful Sumida Aquarium from Tokyo, Japan.

In my first visit from January 2017, in the aquarium building, between sharks, penguins and garden eels, I have found several capsule toy machines with different toy collections. I have decided to try my luck and chosen the deep sea aquarium figure collection which had a total number of 6 different toys representing animals from the deep sea. 400 Yen and my first capsule was in my hand.

Back at my hotel I have opened the capsule and found inside a beautifully crafted Vampyroteuthis infernalis.

Ten months later I was back at Sumida Aquarium and I decided to push a bit more my luck and I have extracted two toy capsules from the machine. Indeed I was lucky this time. In my two new capsules I have found Mesonychoteuthis hamiltoni and Chaunox abei.

Five months later I was back at Sumida Aquarium and decided to push my luck again, but this time I went for all: I decided to gamble for three capsules. I already had three different toys and I needed exactly three more to complete my Deep Sea Aquarium Figure Collection.

I took the capsules out of the machine and went in front of the shark aquarium, took a sit there and started to open them.

First toy: Alepisaurus ferox. No duplicate, I already had four out of six figures!

Alepisaurus ferox

I placed back in the capsule the Alepisaurus ferox and started to unseal the second toy. I was wondering what duplicate I would find in the capsule. I already had 4 different toys from the collection and only two more were left. It would have been a miracle to find a fifth different toy In a row.

Seal was off, capsule was opened. A silver fish with blue dots and red fins could be seen in the wraps. It was a beautiful Oar fish, Regalecus russelii. This was a miracle, I had five out of six toys from exactly only five chances taken.

Last toy was about to be opened. I was just curious what would be the duplicate that I would get. To be honest, I like all of them, but I would have preferred a bit more to have a pair for my Oar fish, just not to be alone… 🙂

Opened the capsule and it was indeed a fish inside, but, unfortunately not the oar fish, it looked like the Alepisaurus ferox. I opened the wraps and almost fainted. Some strange karma happened to me in Japan and found the last toy from the Deep Sea Aquarium Figure Collection by Kaiyodo: the Goblin shark, Mitsukurina owstoni.

I had the complete collection from the first try! No duplicates! It was a miracle!

Here is the Goblin shark and several pictures of my entire collection.

Connecting Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000 to Windows 7 laptop

I just lost an entire day trying to connect my bluetooth mouse to my newly installed Windows 7 operating system. This operation can grow you white hairs, I mean, it’s a Microsoft device, windows is also a Microsoft product, why all these stupid problems just for a bluetooth connection between two entities developed by the same company, a company that pretends to be one of the most serious companies in the world?! I’ve never expected such big problems caused by a bluetooth connection! I need my mouse! What to do, just sell it and never use it?! NO, no way! I really need it with my work, the touch pad can’t do what the mouse can do!

So, anyway, the day is lost but the mouse is working :D.

When I encountered the problem I started looking for solutions on the internet. This part eats you a lot of time. I didn’t found the solution in just one place, I had to combine and to research myself what works and what does not work. So, for you not to loose youre entire day like me, I will just write here all the needed settings. Here it goes…

First of all, I use a Lenovo Thinkpad R61 7742 NCG laptop. The operating system is Windows 7 Professional on 32 bit. The device I want to install is a laser Microsoft Bluetooth Notebook Mouse 5000.

First setting: go to the bluetooth devices -> open settings -> check the box for ”Allow Bluetooth devices to find this computer”.

Second setting: click the start button for windows -> type ”services” in the search area -> from the ”programs” section choose ”services” -> double click ”Bluetooth Support Service” -> from the ”General” tab, at the ”Startup Type” select ”Automatic” and don’t close the window.

Third setting: from the same window go to the ”Log On” tab -> make sure that ”This account” is checked and in the first field is written ”Local Services” -> and to be sure, delete the other two fields for password and password confirmation -> click ”Apply” -> go to the ”General” tab and from the ”Service status” section click ”Stop” – > wait a few seconds until the service is stopped and then click ”Start” to start the service.

Fourth step: reboot! Very important.

Fifth step: go to bluetooth devices -> Add a device -> push the bluetooth connection button on the back of your mouse -> the system will detect it -> double click it and wait for the system to download and install the drivers for the mouse.

That’s it!

Note! If you don’t restart after the first three steps, it is possible that the system just detects the mouse but freezes there without downloading and installing the mouse drivers.

Feel free to ask questions if other problems encountered.

Stupidity in this World

When stupidity will be registered as a disease this world would be better.

You will just be diagnosed by the doctor as “stupid” and you will get medication or/and you will be hospitalized for reeducation, that will help you not to be stupid again.

Specialized personnel will help you understand why you are stupid and will show you what you need to do to cure from stupidity.

Nowadays the world suffers a lot because of stupidity, this disease seems to be contagious in some cases and spreads worryingly fast.

If stupidity wouldn’t be registered as a disease, stupid people will continue to persevere in it, sometimes contaminating other people that are not stupid but that can be influenced, and creating stupid colonies by growing stupid offsprings that can’t ever imagine that they are stupid.

If the World will be conquered by stupidity, it will stupidly end in anarchy.

Music Revelation

There has been a really long time since I’ve listened to good music in the real way, from a contemporary artist. Kimbra shook me really hard. She’s the real revelation in music for me these times. Just listen to her voice!

I have discovered her for some time but I’ve felt that I have to blog about her these days, and I’m glad I did!

Live!

A great duet with Gotye!

Steve Jobs died

Steve Jobs

1955 – 2011

This text appears on Apple’s index page.

After resigning as chief executive from Apple on Wednesday, 24 August and informing the public indirectly about his health,  Wednesday, 5 October came when he passed away.

I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come.

Rest In Peace Steve Jobs.

Science strike

I’m not at all a misogynist, so please girls forgive me if I’m to flat. I have discovered lately a new scientific formula after years and years of study. It occurred to me in a big mall.

%Ω = %ζ

where:

Ω – estrogen factor

ζ – random thinking factor

But don’t be scared girls, it’s not a bad thing! You know what’s scary? This formula applies also to boys!

The Success Paradox

Leaders are in smaller numbers than workers. People of culture are in smaller numbers than others. Geniuses are in smaller numbers than ordinary people.

This means that elite people are in smaller numbers than mediocre people.

Success comes when everybody likes your work.

Success is proportional with the number of people that like your work, this means that you have to convince mediocre people to like it because they are in much bigger numbers.

Then, success is mediocre ?!

Music and Style

I recently had an argue with a friend about music. He said that there is no way that music influence people. I said that music influence people very much. I hope my friend reads the article.(image embedded from t3.gstatic.com)

First of all let’s see the etymology of the word music. It seems that the word comes from the latin musica. The greeks used mousike techne to describe the art of Muses. So, it seems that the word has it’s roots closely bound to the ancient muses.

Music gives a soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything.

Musical innovation is full of danger to the State, for when modes of music change, the laws of the State always change with them.

Plato

And because an image worth a thousand words, I’ll let the images speak for themselves in this article, images with the way people look depending on the style of music they play or listen to.
